Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Kim Delaney is known as the character Detective Diane Russell on the ABC series NYPD Blue. She also appeared on the drama show All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. Delaney was born as the only child from her mom who was a homemaker as well as a high-ranking executive of the United Auto Workers. Delaney spent most of her childhood with 4 brothers. As a child she was aspired to become an official in the courtroom. But after she graduated from high school, and moving in New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. Delaney was portrayed as a young innocent in 1981's soap-opera All My Children. Delaney was in numerous of television shows, films and dramatics since then. Her personal life unlike her professional has not had a happy and successful. The accomplished actor has had to battle alcoholism, and has had two failed marriages. In 2005, she lost the custody of her son.
